UnLatch Motorized Electric Strike No Special Frame Prep Required The patented UnLatch is a completely new type of electric door releasing device that eliminates the limitations inherent in traditional electric strike designs. The UnLatch screws into the existing door frame in seconds. There is no need for routing a special cut-out. This saves on installation labor, maintains the original strength and integrity of the door frame, and yields a fully concealed installation for maximum aesthetic appeal. In addition, the UnLatch makes use of the lock’s dead latch function while maintaining the original security level of the installation. How it Works Both versions of the UnLatch operate in much the same way. The UnLatch uses a unique motor driven operation to release the door by first releasing the dead latch and then pushing both the latch and dead latch back into the lock. Near Universal Application There are two models of the UnLatch to operate any North American make or model of lock. The model UNL is designed for cylindrical or tubular type locks while the model MUNL works with the mortise type locks. The UnLatch can be easily installed on all types of door frames (aluminum, steel or wood) and installation is as simple as removing the existing ANSI 4-7/8” strike plate and replacing it with the version of UnLatch that matches the lock type. While the model UNL will fit any cylindrical without adjustment, the model MUNL provides the first universal design for use with mortise locks. Since there is no standard among lock manufacturers as to the latch and dead latch pin location, the latch cavity of the model MUNL can be easily moved anywhere on the MUNL face using only a screwdriver and an Allen wrench. Digital Entry Devices SECURITRON’s digital keypads are designed for high volume use in controlling entry through electrically locked doors. Model DK-26 The DK-26 is fully waterproof, can mount directly on a narrow stile door frame, and is delivered in two parts for high security. The keypad surface mounts via hidden screws and the CPU board mounts with steel enclosure inside the protected area. No matter what a vandal does to the keypad itself (including severing the cable), the door will not open. The DK- 26 supports 59 user codes expandable to 119 users with serial printer output to record activity (printer supplied separately). Model DK-16 For indoor applications that require the power and security of the DK-26, but are more suited to a single gang plate to mount the keypad, the DK-16 combines the pad of the DK-11 with the separate CPU board of the DK-26. Operation is the same as with the DK-26. Model DK-11 The DK-11 is a high quality, low cost, multi-user digital entry system furnished in one piece. It is specifically intended for indoor applications, and is durable enough for high traffic installations. All features program easily from the keypad and it supports four user codes. Key Switch Entry Devices SECURITRON’s key switch systems allow authorized personnel to control or signal from various locations within a facility. MK Series The unit has a brushed stainless steel single gang or narrow stile face plate. It includes a spring-loaded momentary or push on/push off alternate 5 amp SPDT switch. A bi-color LED that operates on 12 or 24 VDC is standard. The LED may be connected to prompt the operator. A cylinder is optional. An additional switch may be added to provide two different functions depending on the direction of the turn of the key. KP1 Series For less demanding applications, the KP1 series includes an integrated cylinder/switch with 4 amp SPDT contacts in momentary and alternate configurations. As with the MK, mounting on single gang or narrow stile plate is available and all units include the bi-color, dual voltage LED.
