Specifications
Doors shall be 727 type 1 3/4"(44) temperature rise, 250 or 450 degree F. maximum after 30 minutes, 3 hr., 1 1/2 hr., 3/4 hr., or 20 minute fire rated as manufactured by CURRIES of Mason City, Iowa. Doors are to be manufactured of the finest quality 16(1.4) or 18(1.2) gauge cold rolled steel or galvaneal steel (specify).
All doors are full flush construction reinforced with a solid slab of fire door core borad permanently bonded to the inside of each face sheet. Door lock edge reinforcing shall be one-piece, full height 14(1.9) gauge channel. Door hinge edge reinforcing shall be one-piece, full height 14(1.9) gauge channel, formed and tapped for hinges. Door hinge and lock edges may have an exposed hairline seam (S), or seamless edge (N), or seamless and continuous wire welded edge (T).
Top and bottom of door shall have continuous closed channel welded to each face sheet, 12(2.6) gauge top and 16(1.4) gauge bottom. Doors shall be beveled 1/8"(3.2) in 2"(50.8) on the lock edge and square on the hinge edge. All doors receive one coat of baked on prime paint.
